NBL vs El Molino/Cardinal Newman

The Jaguars' NBL season began on Tuesday at Foothill with a tri-meet as Cardinal Newman and El Molino came to town.  Windsor proved that their hard work on the rocky trails of Foothill were worth it, taking all three of the scoring races by large margins.

JUNIOR VARSITY BOYS:  Windsor cruised to a perfect score in JV Boys, taking the first six spots and slotting all nine runners into the first 15 places.  Robert Carrillo was sensational, leading wire to wire in a time of 21:32.1, a mark that would have put him in the top ten of the varsity race, as well.  Ajany Martinez took 2nd and the kvamme brothers (this time David just ahead of Ben), were 3rd and 4th.  

JUNIOR VARSITY GIRLS: All Windsor runners ran Varsity on Tuesday, overwhelming a fairly small field.  The Jagus took the top five spots, led by Lilja Chung in 23:30, a new sophomore record.  Elsa Nolen ran a great race, breaking the freshman record in 23:58.  Ava Smith also saw impressive improvement, charging through the course in 24:40, 8th-best all-time.

VARSITY BOYS: The Jaguars' big three of Dustin Smith, Hunter Larson, and Landon McAlister, were unchallenged.  Smith pushed the pace this time, clocking an 18:19, second all-time and a sophomore record.  Larson cruised in 18:33 and McAlister followed right up in 18:53.  Ian Hopkins responded well to his first start in the varsity lineup, taking 6th overall in 20:39 and earning himself a spot on the all-time list for the course at #6.
