
2019 Eye Opener Invitational

While we were small in numbers, those that did compete on Saturday at the Eye Opener Invitational in Petaluma took advantage of a fast course to set PR after PR. A few highlights to pass along:
Hunter Larson finished 2nd in the Senior Boys race in 15:52, becoming just the 3rd person in school history to run sub-16:00 for 3 miles.
Dustin Smith won the Sophomore Boys race by a large margin, just missing out on being the 4th to go under 16. His time: 16:00.39.
Erin O'Mara took 3rd in the Senior Girls race in 20:43. Along with Hunter and Dustin, she was a Top Ten Overall finisher, winning a very sharp green t-shirt.
Garrett Melvin (18:06) and Kevin Manni (18:09) both came up with HUGE PR's.
Steven Vail went sub-18:00 for the first time in 17:43.
Freshman Alex Hawk went under 20 for the first time, finishing in 19:35.
Nataleigh Johnson took 4th in the Junior Girls race in 21:03.
Additional 3-mile PR's for Jonathan Henry (25:22), Max Weng (20:08), David Kvamme (18:46), Landon McAlister (16:28), and Ajany Martinez (19:16).
